Reggae Falls Jamaica

                            HIDDEN PARADISE IN JAMAICA
Many people are nationals of jamaica and yet half of the population has never gotten the chance to explore the beautiful island, where we often see foreigners coming in to explore. Well, I am here to tell you a little secret I found out about how to explore the small island of jamaica both for locals and foreigners. Many attractions are said to be in the tourist section of the island where it can be rather expensive some you even need to pay to visit. How about traveling to a hidden paradise that is both safe, beautiful and much more affordable, sounds great right? Because it is let me say that the journey is a bit lengthy and the roads aren't the best but is worth the drive. I am from the country's capital called Kingston, I have been touring my island for a while now. I have been to so many hidden spots around the island spots that are said to be tourist attractions but aren't so popular and has not been upgraded. I  have gained the knowledge and experience which I  am more than happy to share. let me start by educating you about taking a trip to Reggae falls and also my experience being there. Reggae Falls is located just off the beaten path of a rural community called hillside, Morant Bay in the parish of St Thomas. It is about two hours' drive from the city of Kingston on a narrow road so I highly recommend driving your own vehicle also with the use of GPS it is less hassle. It can get really uncomfortable in public transportation. With the journey being so long there are a few fruit stalls and jelly stands also mini-marts where you can stop to grab a bite, there isn't any public rest stop but you can always use the restroom at the gas stations. The journey might appear to be never-ending but as soon as such feeling emerges the sign "Welcome to reggae falls" with an arrow pointing in the direction will present itself also your GPS will notify you when you have arrived. Just to be clear when the GPS notify you of your arrival at the waterfall you will need to walk  your way in because it isn't directly beside the road also there isn't any parking area so what can be done is you can park beside a house where a small fee of around 300jmd can be paid just to the owner of the house . Lush green grass paves both sides of the gravel

path leading to the falls. The waterfall is very beautiful with crystal clear water it was indeed along
drive for me too but after seeing how beautiful it was, surrounded by green plants, tall trees, food stalls that only open on weekends when parties are being held my mind that was once frustrated and tired became overwhelmed and excited. At first while on my journey through the narrow roads that seem as though they have not been repaired for decades with overgrown bushes covering a section of the roadway I was a little concerned but after I had arrived there it was a totally different experience. The atmosphere was a little overcast but my attention was quickly drawn by splashing sounds of the waterfall as if it was kissing the formation of rocks behind its surface. Upon seeing the waterfall it was nothing like what I had imagined it was more beautiful than what people had talked about. To make my experience even more breathtaking I got the opportunity to dip myself in the water. I also got closer to the waterfall with the help of a teenager from the neighboring community. It was a fun-filled day at reggae falls st Thomas jamaica, it is definitely a place to visit in jamaica especially while on a budget, be careful upon entering the water the current of the waves from the waterfall is a little strong other than that it is free of charge and it is open to the public everyday.
